Sensei Anthony Guange Sr
Sensei Anthony began training in Shaolin Kenpo Karate in 1986 and earned his Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt) in 1995. After training until 1997, he stepped away from martial arts to focus on school, career, and family.His passion for Kenpo was reignited when his son expressed an interest in karate. When his son began training in 2018, Anthony promised that if he stayed committed, he would return to training as well. In 2019, he returned to the dojo, starting over as a white belt and embracing the journey once again.
His dedication led him to earn his Shodan in 2023 under Professor George Thibault and his Nidan (2nd Degree Black Belt) in 2025 under Professor Nick Chamberlain. Throughout his martial arts career, he has also competed in numerous tournaments. One of his proudest accomplishments was seeing his son earn his Junior Black Belt in 2025.
Today, Sensei Anthony enjoys helping students build confidence, discipline, and perseverance through martial arts. He especially enjoys teaching alongside his son and sharing their passion for Kenpo with the next generation of students.
