Shihan Judy Bourret
My name is Judy Bourret. I love studying and teaching kenpo karate! My martial arts journey began in 2003 when I was a mom watching my daughter take karate classes. Another mom invited me to try an adult class (thank you, Sempai Mona!). I said "yes" and was totally unprepared for how fun, challenging, and rewarding the martial arts classes would be. It has been an honor and a privilege to learn from and train with Professor George Thibault and many other excellent senseis through the years at Dracut Kenpo Karate. It has also been exciting to go to seminars, both at DKK and other places and learn from many amazing teachers. My journey has included teaching seminars, competing in tournaments, and teaching self-defense classes to non-students. Ultimately, though, the reason that I still get excited on my way to a martial arts class, is that I love working with people in a fun setting for a valuable, important purpose. I feel blessed and thankful to be able to share all the benefits of martial arts training with others. I am thankful also to Sensei Gabriel Cutler for continuing the great atmosphere of personal growth and excellence at Dracut Kenpo Karate.
